OK just to be fair, im not sure what the previous owner has done to my truck. I've had this truck, an 03, since June of 06 and of course, its had a few flaws. There were scratches on one side of the bed, looked like a few smaller dogs scratched and etched the paint lightly but over a 3 foot area. Didn't bother me too much, but ive had a few other problems. On the cab, there was a bubble of paint that burst and revealed no primer, just bare metal. no biggie, just got some touch up paint from duplicolor and nobody would know the difference. THEN I got in an accident, supposedly my fault, i was backing out and so was another guy but because of this huge assed Tundra (stupid, ugly toyotas) i couldn't see him until it was too late. light tap but the bumper got pushed into the bed and the paint was chipping off. this is crap. why couldn't nissan make quality vehicles with good paint? of course, this is the only complaint I have about my truck, that and the outrageous maintenance.
